The Office of International Exchange establishes plans to promote and support international exchange initiatives. In particular, it focuses on international academic exchanges on research and education, exchange students studying abroad, partnership arrangements with foreign universities, recruitment and promotion of international students, support for business trips by University staff, overseas training for enrolled students, international student support (departure/arrival services and management services), Korean language classes, etc. to help globalize the University.

Operational Objectives

We live in an age of global competition. More emphasis is put on international competition and collaboration. Even in the university education sector, stakeholders require internationally accepted standards and competencies. As such the University aims to tailor its international cooperation capabilities in line with today’s globalization and liberalization trends to make sure it can maximize its efficiency on the global stage.

Core Responsibilities

  • International student recruitment
    • Recruit language students and international students
    • Educate and manage language students and international students
    • Operate social integration programs
    • Operate early transition and adaptation programs
  • Student dispatch
    • K-Move (School): Job placements in Australia and Singapore / WCC: Job placements in Australia
    • Selects and dispatches global study groups/overseas employment and start-up experience group
    • Selects and dispatches groups for global field trips (global internships)
    • Identifies employment partnership corporations and academic institutions overseas
  • Education
    • Offers a Korean language training program (international language students)
    • Offers special foreign language lectures (English/Japanese) during holidays
    • Dispatches students for overseas language training (the Philippines/USA)
